Places change. The memories stay.
I enjoy travelling for the experiences I can bring home: food discoveries, new surroundings, and moments worth remembering. This is where I’ll share selected photographs and stories from those journeys.

Bali, one frame at a time
A beach, an open sky, and a jump caught in the middle. This photograph from my Bali album is a good place to begin. A travel page doesn’t always need a long itinerary; sometimes a moment is enough.
I want to share the photographs that still make me stop and look, along with the details I remember and can stand behind. There’s no need to turn every trip into a checklist.
Food comes along for the journey
Trying food and learning how it’s made are part of what I enjoy about travelling. A flavour or cooking technique can stay with me long after the luggage is unpacked. Some of those ideas find their way into my kitchen.
Stories, photographs, and a little context
I’ll keep each travel story focused on what I experienced and what I want to share. A photograph deserves a useful caption, and a recommendation should be clear about when I visited and what I actually tried.
Selected memories from past trips belong here. Personal booking details and live travel arrangements stay with me.
What catches your attention?
Food, scenery, a cooking lesson, or just the chance to be somewhere different? If there’s a travel story you’d like me to write about, let me know.
Boracay, with room for Indian food
On a May 2024 visit to Boracay, we shared biryani, dal tadka, parata and tandoori chicken. Dal had been a favourite of mine for a long time. There was plenty to enjoy—and, judging from the photograph, plenty to eat.
This is a memory of that visit, rather than a current restaurant or price recommendation.

A year that took me places
On New Year’s Eve 2023, I looked back at a busy year of learning, meeting people and travelling. In that post, I counted visits to at least 62 Philippine provinces during the period after pandemic restrictions eased, alongside trips to Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan. It was my count at the time, and there were still more places I wanted to see.
