About Kuya G

Hi, I’m Gary. You can call me Kuya G.

I’m a freelance system developer who enjoys cooking, travelling, singing, and playing pickleball. I like making things work—and I like bringing people together. BNKG is where those two sides of me meet.

A home for what I enjoy sharing

Bahay Ni Kuya G is a personal space with a community spirit. I want to share the things I actually enjoy doing: a dish worth cooking again, a lesson that helps a beginner, a travel photograph that brings back a memory, or an idea that makes daily life easier.

I spent many years living in Dubai before returning to the Philippines. Home in Batangas gives me a different pace and plenty of reasons to stay busy. There’s always something to cook, organise, learn, or improve.

The kitchen is part of the story

I enjoy working with ingredients, adjusting flavours, and thinking through a recipe until it makes sense for the people eating it. Cooking for a gathering is its own kind of project: plan well, prepare carefully, and make sure everyone gets a plate.

Pickleball has my attention

I’ve organised volleyball and basketball tournaments, and pickleball is a big part of my life now. I enjoy the game, but I also enjoy seeing someone go from feeling unsure to joining a rally with confidence.

Beginners need encouragement and useful guidance. Nobody arrives knowing everything. We can take the basics seriously and still have a good laugh.

The developer in me

I build practical systems for everyday needs. I enjoy turning scattered information and repetitive tasks into something organised and easier to use. That same habit follows me into recipe planning, community activities, and this website.

And sometimes, a song

A short clip from my personal singing collection.

Singing is another thing I enjoy. Not every moment has to be productive; sometimes it’s enough to sing along and enjoy yourself.

What I hope you find here

Something useful. Something enjoyable. Maybe a little encouragement to try a new dish, learn a skill, join a game, or explore a place. That would make sharing worthwhile.

The stories behind BNKG

The interests on this site have grown alongside my life. My Facebook posts hold some of that history, from returning to Tuy to meals, journeys and community activities. I have gathered a few of those memories into one place.
